Mumbai- All-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to make his return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the captain of Mumbai Indians, marking a significant comeback after successful stints with Gujarat Titans. The cricketer, recovering from a knee injury, recently reflected on his IPL journey during an appearance on the 'Star Nahi Far' show on Star Sports.

During a quiz session about his IPL statistics, a fan incorrectly guessed the number of half-centuries Hardik had scored, leading to the cricketer's surprise. When asked about his favorite half-century, Hardik emphasized his dislike for innings resulting in losses, dismissing the significance of individual milestones.

Rejecting specific innings, including his notable 21-ball 60-run knock against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020, Hardik declared, "I don't believe in 50s or 100s. Stats are just numbers; it's a waste of time."

In a related context, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan raised concerns about the differential treatment of players in the BCCI central contract. Highlighting the recent omission of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer due to non-participation in domestic cricket, Pathan urged equality, questioning if players like Hardik, who may not play red-ball cricket, should be involved in white-ball domestic cricket when not on national duty.
