Moradabad Bajrang Dal Leader Arrested for Framing Muslim Man in Cow Slaughter Case

Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking development, the district president of the Hindutva group Bajrang Dal, Monu Bishnoi, was arrested on Wednesday along with three others for allegedly planning and executing the slaughter of cows to falsely implicate a Muslim man in a criminal case.

Modus Operandi:

Shahabuddin, one of the arrested individuals, sought the help of Bishnoi and his aides, Raman Chaudhary and Rajiv Chaudhary, to frame Mehmood, a villager with whom he had a personal dispute.

Two incidents of cow slaughter were staged:
  
 Incident 1 (January 16): A cow's head was placed on Kanwar Path, raising suspicion due to the short timeframe between its discovery and a previous sighting.

  Incident 2 (January 29): A cow was slaughtered in the Chetrampur village forest. A track pant with Mehmood's phone number and picture was found near the carcass, leading to his interrogation.

 -Mehmood revealed his enmity with Shahabuddin and Jamshed, alleging their involvement with Bishnoi and his associates to frame him.

Motive:

- Police investigation revealed that Bishnoi and his accomplices had previously engaged in a similar act on January 14 to pressure police on another matter.

- The second cow slaughter was allegedly planned to further their agenda after the initial attempt failed.

Action Taken:

- All four accused have been arrested and booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including criminal conspiracy, false charges, theft, and trespass. They also face charges under the UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act.
