Kolkata, Feb 3rd: In a defiant move, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the transfer of funds to 21 lakh unpaid MGNREGA workers by February 21st. This comes amidst her ongoing dharna demanding the release of "unpaid dues" from the Central government for various welfare schemes.

Fighting for Bengal's Rights:

Banerjee, addressing the 48-hour sit-in protest, declared, "We don't want to beg from the BJP. By February 21st, we'll transfer money to 21 lakh workers who haven't received their dues despite working under MGNREGA for the past three years. This is just the first step."

She accused the Centre of trying to "starve Bengal to death" but vowed to overcome the challenge. "Have faith in me," she urged the people, "I'll clear the pending funds step-by-step."

Commitment to the People:

Emphasizing her fight for the deprived, Banerjee declared, "This is for those who've been denied their rights. We'll continue our fight and ensure no poor person suffers in Bengal. I'll fight for you till my last breath."

Lok Sabha Polls on the Horizon:

Turning her focus to the upcoming elections, Banerjee asserted, "We'll go all out in the Lok Sabha polls. If all opposition parties unite, the BJP government will surely fall. I'll play my part and win decisively. Together, we can bring an end to the BJP's reign of terror."

CAA and NRC Remain Off Limits:

Reiterating her stance, Banerjee declared, "Never will I allow the implementation of CAA and NRC in Bengal."

Solidarity Grows:

Former cricketer and politician Kirti Azad, along with social activist Yogendra Sharma, visited Banerjee at the dharna site, expressing their solidarity with her cause.
