The prestigious accolades encompassed six Kirti Chakras, 16 Shaurya Chakras, 53 Sena Medals, one Nao Sena Medal, and four Vayu Sena Medals, reflecting the diverse acts of courage and service displayed by these heroes.
Among the recipients, Captain Anshuman Singh, who selflessly saved others from a fire on the treacherous Siachen Glacier, was posthumously honored with the Shaurya Chakra, a testament to his bravery and sacrifice.
Notable mentions include Inspector General Bhisham Sharma, Comdt Sunil Dutt, and Comdt (JG) Saurabh of the Coast Guard, who were awarded the President's Tatrakshak Medal (PTM) for their gallantry in safeguarding the nation's maritime interests.
